I founded Leaders Lead on the belief that everyone can be a leader. We all have something unique to offer the world, and with the right guidance and resources, everyone can impact and transform lives.
I was first introduced to the power of leadership and community through athletics when I played football at Anacostia High School and eventually Hampton University on a scholarship. With the support and mentorship of leaders in my life, such as my football coaches and career mentors, I was able to realize my capacity for influencing and empowering others.
For over 20 years I’ve had the honor of serving in diverse leadership roles ranging from the private and public sectors to community-led and faith-based organizations. I’ve held key management positions for the District of Columbia Housing Authority, supporting public and affordable housing initiatives and managing millions of dollars in subsidies for low-income families.
One of the core values of Leaders Lead is empowering the next generation of leaders, which is why I believe in actively investing in the development of young people. In addition to my work through Leaders Lead, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as a mentor for youth through the Youth Guide Right Program offered by Prince George’s County Kappa Alpha Psi chapter, as well as a Youth Leadership Mentor in D.C Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools.
I have the privilege of working with small businesses, start-ups, entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations (and beyond), predominately in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Their industries and specialties may vary, but all have one thing in common: the desire to positively impact people around them and see their vision come to life.
